About the Project
A partnership with Brinshore Development, The Housing Authority of Kansas City, and Rosemann & Associates, Samuel Rodgers Place will consist of two buildings housing 27 Townhomes (4-5 bedroom units) and 35 apartments (ranging from 1-3 bedrooms). This $16 million project is the final phase of the Paseo Gateway Development.
A mix of market-rate and affordable housing— 27 of the units offer opportunities for low-income households with rents no larger than 30% of their income, and 20 market-rate units with monthly rents ranging from $700 for a one-bedroom to $1,000 for a three-bedroom. The remaining affordable units will include one-bedroom units renting in the mid-$500s. Built to National Green Building Standards, each unit has energy-efficient appliances and high-end finishes.
A 4,300 SF community center designed by Moody Nolan called the Propellor Building, will be partially utilized by SamuelRodgers Health and also available for tenant and community events. Additional features include an outside rain garden, with a pedestrian bridge and a community playground.
