REHOPE
A sanctuary to live
and heal.
Long-term residential housing and restorative programs for adult women and minor girl survivors of human trafficking.
THE COMMUNITY
The Restoration House (R|H) of Greater Kansas City was established in 2015 as a response to the epidemic of human trafficking with a mission to provide housing, food, healthcare, therapy, education, emotional and spiritual counseling, and job skill training without charge or discrimination, to adult women survivors of human trafficking.
In 2019, the Restoration House partnered with Missouri Baptist Children’s Home to open the Mabee House, serving minor survivors of human sex trafficking. Later that year, R|H took possession of a 7+ acre facility with hopes to expand the capacity of adult survivors to nation-leading levels.
THE CONSTRUCTION
This renovation converted an outdated 11,000 SF Baptist church into a home for 11 adult women and full-time staff members. An adult in the R|H program stays anywhere between 1-3 years – this renovation increased their current adult capacity from 5 women to 16.
Additionally, a basement renovation provides new office spaces for staff members.
